1. Who we are
Lift is operated by Thomas Cobley. Contact: t@thomascobley.com.
2. Data we collect
- Account info from Clerk: email, name, profile picture, organization membership.
- Billing info from Stripe: customer ID, subscription status, last 4 digits of card. We never see full card numbers.
- Workspace content: creator handles you add, notes, analyses you trigger, ideas you save.
- Analytics: pageviews and key actions (add creator, run analysis) via PostHog to improve the product.
3. Third-party data we cache
When you add a creator handle, we cache the public posts and profile data returned by Instagram, TikTok or YouTube (via our Apify integration). This data belongs to the original creators; we display it solely for your competitive analysis.
4. How we use your data
- Provide the service and synthesise reports for your account.
- Bill you for paid plans.
- Send the weekly platform-pulse digest (opt-out via email link).
- Diagnose errors and improve product quality.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your workspace content to train models.
5. Subprocessors
- Clerk — authentication.
- Neon — database hosting.
- Vercel — application hosting.
- Stripe — payments.
- Apify — Instagram, TikTok and YouTube scraping.
- Anthropic — LLM synthesis.
- Resend — transactional + digest email.
- PostHog — product analytics.
6. Data retention
We retain workspace content for as long as your organization is active. Deleting your organization cascades a deletion of all associated creators, posts, analyses, and ideas within 30 days.
7. Your rights
You can access, export, or delete your data at any time by emailing t@thomascobley.com. We will respond within 30 days. EU/UK users have rights under GDPR (rectification, erasure, portability, objection).
8. Cookies
We use first-party cookies from Clerk for session management and from PostHog for analytics. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
9. Changes
We'll post material updates here and notify active users by email.
