Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2026
1. The service
Lift ("the service") is a tool that aggregates publicly accessible posts from creator accounts you specify and synthesises them into reports. The service is operated by Thomas Cobley ("we"). By using the service you agree to these terms.
2. Accounts & orgs
Authentication is handled by Clerk. Each workspace lives inside a Clerk organization. You are responsible for the actions of every user you invite to your organization and for keeping your credentials secure.
3. Acceptable use
You may only add creator handles you are entitled to analyse for competitive research, education, or your own creative work. You may not use the service to harass, impersonate, or harvest data on private individuals, nor to violate Instagram's terms or any applicable law. We may suspend access if we believe the service is being misused.
4. Data we display
The service surfaces publicly visible posts, captions, and engagement counts retrieved via third-party scraping providers. Copyright in those posts belongs to their authors. The service is for analysis — you may not republish another creator's post or caption as your own.
5. Subscriptions & billing
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance via Stripe. You may cancel at any time from the billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are issued case-by-case for service outages exceeding 48 hours.
6. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is". Synthesised reports are generated by a large language model and may contain factual errors; you are responsible for verifying claims before acting on them. We make no guarantees about scrape coverage, freshness, or availability.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
8. Termination
You may delete your organization at any time, which removes all associated data. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms with notice where reasonable.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in-app or via email. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
